Tri-Cities Therapy is excited to announce the RE-OPENING of the clinic and resumption ofin person sessions. To provide a safe environment for you and your child, please review our COVID-19 Policies and Safety Plan. We want to thank you for your understanding and patience as we get used to this ‘new normal’.
We will continue to offer teletherapy services for those who prefer to follow social distancing rules. Best practices indicate that teletherapy can be as effective as direct therapy when parents are involved
Get Prepared
- Bring a mask if you have one
- Leave all unnecessary belongings at home
- Use the washroom before your session (washrooms will be opened and cleaned/disinfected in emergency situations only)
- New clients must fill in, sign, and return a waiver to the therapist before beginning the first session
- A COVID-19 screening questionnaire will be sent the day before each session. You must respond to the email and answer NO to all questions or cancel your session
What We are Doing
- We will continue to offer Virtual Telehealth services
- We will be wearing a maskand may wear additional protective equipment such as gloves and a face shield
- We have added cleaning and disinfecting breaks between each child’s appointment
- We will be using high strength cleaners and follow disinfectant protocols to clean high touch surfaces such as door knobs and light switches, as per Worksafe BC
- We will wash our hands frequently, including before and after each session
- We will not come to work if we are sick and we ask you to do the same. Please cancel your child’s appointment if you have any cold or flu symptoms
When You Arrive
- Arrive on time, please wait in your car if you arrive early
- Contact your therapist by phone to let them know you have arrived
- Put on your mask and wait at ‘feet’ at theopen door to the clinic
- Apply hand sanitizer at the door
- Answer the COVID-19 Screening questions from your therapist
- Wait for your child in your car or go for a walk or do an errand (just please be back before the end of the session!)
- our waiting room will be closed to reduce transmission
After the Session
- Meet your child at ‘feet’ the door after their session
- Apply hand sanitizer before you and your child leave
