Nicola completed her master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy in the University of Limerick, Ireland and has more than 7 years experience working with the pediatric population. She believes in the value of empowering and educating parents and caregivers to be the most effective communication partners for their child. She is passionate about setting functional and practical goals that can be embedded into day-to-day activities as much as possible. She believes in building a strong rapport with the client and caregiver which therefore leads to better outcomes for all involved. Nicola is very experienced in working in the field of autism.

Nicola is certified in Speech-Language Pathology by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and is a registrant of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and a member of the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP). She has completed continuing education in the areas of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Executive Functioning Skills, Parent Coaching (Hanen), Social Thinking Workshops (Michelle Garcia Winner), Gestalt Language Processing and more.
