Nam Kim, MTA, MT-BC
Music Therapist, Director of IU Music Therapy
Nam is a board-certified music therapist with over 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with autism and developmental disabilities.
She studied music composition and music education in South Korea, and studied music therapy in a master’s program in Kansas, U.S.
Nam is certified by both the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT) and the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) in the United States.
With respect, empathy, and a deep belief in each individual’s potential, Nam strives to inspire personal growth through music. She skillfully adapts and tailors each session to meet her clients’ unique needs—helping to create a motivating and engaging therapeutic environment.
Every day, Nam continues to learn how music can positively influence lives. As a therapist, she not only believes in the power of music and its clinical applications but also values the personal growth that unfolds across a person’s lifespan.
